The Rev. Dr. Connie M. Kleingartner, Chicago, formerly of Minot, died August 21, 2008 after an 18 month battle with cancer. Connie was born February 10, 1948 in Bismarck, ND and her family later moved to Minot where she graduated from Minot High School and immediately entered the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program in Milwaukee with the Hispanic community. Connie earned a BS degree in Mathmatics fron Minot State University where she taught for one year. Connie became an ordained minister in the ELCA Lutheran Church and served as a parish minister for 18 years and several positions at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, IL. Connie was not married and had no children.
